Kiawah Island
- West Beach Village
- Kiawah's original development, built with a "walk to everything"
concept, places all amenities within easy reach of its guests.
Gary Player's 18 hole, par 71 Cougar Point Golf Course will challenge the most avid golfer, and the West Beach Racquet Club offers 14 clay and 2 lighted hard courts.
The Straw Market is a potpourri of island pleasures and treasures: informal dining, children's shops, and a women's boutique, just to name a few.
Guests in Kiawah's West Beach Village enjoy a variety of dining experiences. There's something to tempt everyone's taste.
- East Beach Village
- Enjoy your own scenic view of spectacular ocean vistas, woods,
golf fairways, or lagoons.
All
are just a short distance to tennis, golf, shopping, dining or a
park. Kiawah's second resort village centers around a 21 acre
recreational park. Night Heron Park includes a nature center,
fitness trails, picnic facilities, wide open fields for all kinds of
sports, and for the little ones, a playground is ready for conquest.
Or, explore the park on wheels! Roller skate and bicycle rentals are
also available. Supervised programs for children of all ages provide
days of adventurous activities.
Tennis enthusiasts will delight in the facilities available at East Beach Village Tennis Club, including practice alley, ball machines and video tape to analyze your play. The Turtle Point Golf Course, designed by Jack Nicklaus, is already a favorite of many. This par 72, 6889 yard course includes three holes bordering the spectacular Atlantic. What a great place to spend your vacation!
- The Village at Turtle Beach
- The Village at Turtle Beach is an intimate beachfront retreat
recalling island life the way it
was. With brick lined walkways and picket fences, wildflowers and
old fashioned street lamps, manicured croquet lawn and a gazebo
bandstand, it will seem like a trip back in time.
The homes will remind you of coastal cottages from days gone by. Each is custom-built with wraparound porches, high ceilings, hardwood floors, metal roofs, brick fireplaces, and completely modern kitchens. Ceiling fans stir the air with summer breezes and fond memories. Once you've stayed at Turtle Beach, you'll always want to return!
- Vanderhorst Plantation & Osprey Beach
- Behind an additional security gate for privacy, Vanderhorst
Plantation and Osprey Beach offer beautiful homes, exquisite
beaches, and beautiful vistas from every direction.
Vanderhorst Plantation is also home to the Osprey Point golf course
and the Ocean course, site of the famous 1991 Ryder Cup Match.
If a select vacation home in an area on Kiawah with controlled access appeals to you, consider a private home in Vanderhorst Plantation or Osprey Beach.
- Seabrook is unique among Lowcountry barrier islands in that it
is totally private and completely owned by its residents.
Access to the island is controlled by a security gate to ensure
privacy for residents and guests. Also unique to Seabrook is the
island's Equestrian Center - with its miles of riding trails winding
through the lush, semi-tropical vegetation.
Like Kiawah, the island's beauty is striking - hosting a variety of fascinating wildlife. Seabrook encompasses 2,200 acres with 3.5 miles of unspoiled beach along the Atlantic and along the banks of the pristine Edisto River. Seabrook has more than a thousand permanent residents with luxury homes and villas scattered along the island's beaches, marshes, lakes and golf courses.
